Bryan Scary and the Shredding Tears will release their follow up to 2008’s beloved Flight of the Knife. The forthcoming Mad Valentine EP will be jointly released on Elijah Woods’ Simian Records and Brooklyn based Old Flame Records on October 27th.

BSST has been called “psychedelic,” “progressive,” “quirky,” and “strange,” yet the Brooklyn based band truly consider themselves first and foremost —a pop band.

2008’s Flight of the Knife fused glam, psych rock, and theatrical 70s pop with science fiction narratives and elaborate children’s stories.

A conceptual tour-de-force, the album hit #6 on the iTunes Rock Chart after being made Editor’s Choice, and amassed a significant cult following.

The group continues to win fans with their flamboyant and maniacally-energetic stage shows — multimedia events which showcase the band’s story-telling and flair for the dramatic.
