NYLON Magazine Premieres Millionyoung Lovin MP3

NYLON said that “The first track off of Millionyoung‘s upcoming album makes us smile.”

It’s not just us who enjoy listening to it; Diaz lists it among one of his favorites to work on while putting together his new album, Variable, which comes out in February. “It was a lot of fun, sort of a different approach than I usually do. I was really digging into soul music while working on this record, and it’s probably most present in this song,” says Diaz.

Vice Premieres The Pharmacy Baby Be mp3

Our pals at Vice premiered the awesome new mp3 of “Baby Be” from The Pharmacy. The new album from the Seattle trio, Stoned & Alone, is out now digitally and on CD/LP on 11/19/12 via Old Flame and on Tape from Burger Records!

Spin Premieres New Song From Your Youth

Spin Magazine announced the upcoming Battery EP from Your Youth and premiered the first mp3 off the EP “Thick Gold (Bodied).”

Though Your Youth describe themselves as a “loud alternative band from Brooklyn,” the duo’s white-knuckle pop-punk suggests maybe they somehow snuck over here from the Pacific Northwest. “Thick Gold (Bodied),” a jouncy cut from their forthcoming Battery EP (due October 23 via Old Flame) is a compact, highly explosive combination of those guitar strains made famous by bands like Built To Spill and Nirvana. Hear it below.

Spin Premieres New Yuno Song Sunlight

A big thanks to our friends at Spin Magazine for premiering the great new track from Yuno (fka unouomedude).

“Last summer, Jacksonville’s unouomedude made online waves with the digital single ‘Frequency,’ a rickety piece of fuzzy beach-pop. Now under the name Yuno, he has returned with new single ‘Sunlight,’ which adds more twinkly keyboards but keeps up the yearning, reverb-layered vocals, warm distortion, and vintage indie-rock tunecraft. ‘”I’ll be with you sometime alone in the sunlight,”‘ Yuno promises. That’s not one of the options available to people who help fund Yuno’s planned album V. But plenty other of gifts are available — including an EP, demos, and covers — for pledges at various levels over at his new Kickstarter page, where the bedroom-based singer, songwriter, and producer is seeking $2,000-$4,500.”

Read more about Yuno’s Kickstarter here and feel free to chip in if you wish. I can’t wait to hear what kind of album is in this kid’s head.

If you like what you hear, you can buy “Sunlight” from itunes.

Check Out You Won’t at Daytrotter

You Won’t stopped by the Rock Island studios during their tour with Alcoholic Faith Mission. Listen to the amazing session and learn a good bit about the band in a great synopsis by the awesome Sean Moeller.

Prefix Magazine Premieres Shark? Down Low

Head over to Prefix Magazine to hear the latest song from the forthcoming Tape release of Shark? – True Waste.

Prefix says, “the collection of songs is charmingly grungy and minimalistic.

In June, the lo-fi post punk outfit shared the LP’s first single, “Slap-Dash,” and today is sharing “Down Low.” The track features shining, dueling guitars and Kevin Diamond’s deep, monotone vocals (think Interpol’s Paul Banks). But though the song is raw and full of static, it’s pretty damn catchy.”

Listen to Down Low below:

MTV Iggy Premiere’s Alcoholic Faith Mission’s Alaska Video

MTV Iggy premiered the latest video from Alcoholic Faith Mission.

“The Alaska music video chronicles a club-going copycat. A high speed chase ensues as the six piece’s whirly guitar riffs, echoey vocals and a pounding drum line makes us want to imitate them a little, too.”
