Impose Premieres Shark?’s Guided By Voices Cover “Game of Pricks”

Shark? covered “Game of Pricks” by Guided By Voices on their latest EP Summer Ale and Impose was kind enough to premiere it along side its GBV parent track.  Shark?’s cover of the 1995 song originally appeared on a Dirty Laundry TV cassette compilation earlier this year, but now is available on the Summer Ale cassette, so pick that up ASAP.

Stereogum Premieres Shark?’s “Big Summer (Summer Ale)”

The guys over at Stereogum premiered a new Shark? track called “Big Summer (Summer Ale)” off the recently released Summer Ale EP.  ”Big Summer (Summer Ale)” builds on the sound Shark? developed with their recent full length release Savior, but then slips into an all out indie rock jam.  Check out the rest of the EP, now available on cassette or digitally.

Impose Premieres Shark? “Savior” Video

‘Fingers’ Video by Shark? Premieres on MTV

Brooklyn rockers, Shark?, have released yet another quirky video to accompany one their tracks. Off their 2013 record, ‘Savior,’ Shark? pieced together strings of footage taken from various tours in 2013 to play underneath, “Fingers.” in MTV’s Premier, they described the video as a, “seizure-inducing barrage of images matches perfectly the frantic quality of the song.” Bassist, Andy Kinsey also mentioned in the piece, that Shark?’s tours are often like embarking on a journey with the 3 Stooges, which is pretty well encapsulated in the video!

Pitchfork Reviews Shark? Track ‘Fingers’

Off their recent record, Shark?, just had their track, ‘Fingers’ written about in Pitchfork. Describing the track as being the, “perfect balance of punk form and function,” Pitchfork also spoke about how bassist, Andey Kinsey’s swooning and groovy lines, act as the perfect compliment to vocalist and guitarist, Kevin Diamond’s, “howl.”

Brooklyn rockers, Shark?, made their to Daytrotter a few weeks back whilst on tour of their October record, ‘Savior.’ Recording a handful of both new and old tracks at Daytrotter, the session was released last week.

Kicking off with a release party in Brooklyn, Shark? will make stops in Toronto, Chicago, Boston and everywhere in between, including a session at Rock Island, Indiana’s, Daytrotter.

‘California Grrls’ by Shark? Is Featured in Grand Theft Auto V

In the brand new and highly anticipated version of the classic video game, Grand Theft Auto, Old Flame’s very own, Shark?, has landed a sweet music feature. Set in Southern California, the game was recently described as being, “the most immersive spectacle in interactive entertainment,” by The New York Times, which totally rules for Shark? and their aptly titled track, ‘California Grrls.’ So now you can drive around like a total bad-ass whilst rocking out to some fuzzy rock tunes.

Consequence of Sound Premieres ‘Wither’ By Shark?

As the October 1st release date for their LP, Savior, inches closer, Brooklyn rockers, Shark?, are enjoying the continuous support from the music publication world. Premiering the newest single, ‘Wither’ from their record, Savior, Consequence of Sound spoke about the track as being, “an acoustic riff that could’ve been born in the bedroom of some indie songwriter in the 90s or early aughts.”  They went on to talk about how, Wither’ is a great removal from Shark?’s often loud and electric sound and that, ”it’s an earnest lost-love track with a golden hook, proving the diverse Shark? isn’t solely about fuzzed-out bites.”
